The Role Of The Youth In Changing The Narrative.
‘My dear children, you are the leaders of tomorrow” I recall my teachers saying this every morning. Growing up, as a pupil, I heard this clique different times in many different ways till it became a part of my subconscious. But the society has a cruel way of making you doubt what you know. You see in our society, “tomorrow” never comes for you especially if you are a child. To become a leader, you must create your own tomorrow!
This article is a compilation of two amazing Nigerian youths who created their own tomorrow. I hope this inspires you to be more relevant and creative as we create a new narrative together. First on our list of change makers is no other than the sensational Falz.
FALZ THE BAHD GUY:
Born in December 27, 1990, He is the son to a popular Nigerian lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana. His name is Folarin Falana, popularly know as Falz The Bahd Guy. Who doesn’t know this funny guy in Nigerian entertainment? Beyond the hilarious Yoruba accent, Falz is a multi talented Nigerian singer. What’s more? He is a Lawyer, an actor, and humanitarian. Falz owns a cloth line, owns a record label… Falz is less than 35! On the entertainment scene, he is just one of many Nigerians making us proud.
The second on our list, is the amazing Miss Faith.
MISS FAITH ADESEWA ODUNSI:
Miss Faith is a 15 year old Nigerian, who recently won the Global Open Mathematics competition. The phenomenal Faith won with a 30 clear point difference ahead of opponents from China, United States ( U . S . ), United Kingdom ( UK), Australia, South Africa and Germany. Just to bring it home a little more clearly, did I mention that Faith Odunsi is an SS3 student from Ijebu in Ogun state? Yes, Ogun state. Prior to her to her winning this global competition, in 2018, she first won the hearts of many people when she set a record in the Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition when she correctly answered 19 questions in 60 seconds. Doesn’t the Little Miss Faith give you hope in our future?
